Coleman Sales & Service

Coleman Sales & Service was started in 1960 when Merrill Brand partnered with Coleman Heating & Air of Toledo.  Initially, Coleman Sales & Service offered Apache campers along with genuine parts and service in Toledo and the surrounding area.    

In 1974, Mr. Brand’s son-in-law, Tom Chalfin, joined the family business.  Tom, an eager soul, worked vigorously to grow the family business and serve camping customers throughout northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan.  Coleman Sales & Service added the Coleman branded product line to their offering in the late 1970’s.

Years later, in 1982, Tom’s brother, Jack, joined the Coleman team, with a main focus on sales and customer satisfaction.  In the early 90’s, the showroom, parts department, and service area at 5353 Lewis Avenue were given a facelift, which included an indoor showroom that would accommodate multiple campers.

As camping continued to grow popular, Coleman Sales & Service grew similarly.  James Chalfin, son of Tom, came to work with his Uncle Jack and Dad.  Jamie (James) focused on customer satisfaction and service.  In 2002, the Chalfin family was excited to announce the addition of Starcraft RV to their product lineup and began adding inventory immediately.  Fast forward to 2013, Andy Chalfin, son of Tom, joined the family business, where he managed the parts department. 

Most recently, in 2018, the Chalfin family announced their partnership with Reineke Family Dealerships.  The newly formed Reineke RV was a venture between lifelong family friends (the Chalfin family and Reineke family).  Soon thereafter, Reineke RV acquired Fort Ball RV & Auto Sales and Eclipse Auto Care in Tiffin.  With the acquisition of Fort Ball RV & Auto Sales, Reineke RV was then able to add Flagstaff to their existing offering. 

Today, Reineke RV has locations in Toledo and Tiffin, including Eclipse Auto Care.
